Options for a Slim Laptop Bag
| |
 |
Slim laptop bags are available to carry your laptop wherever you need to go in
style.
One option is the Acme made slim, which is designed to fit a wide variety of
laptops including Sony, HP, Apple, Dell and Gateway.
It is made convenient by its compactness which allows it to be slipped
into another bag as well. This bag maintains good protection through the use of a closed cell foam,
high impact plastic so that your laptop can travel safely and in style.
These slim laptop bags come in colors of red and black,
with other more exclusive designer color coordinated bags that are slightly more expensive.

Reviews of this bag are coming back very positive, a significant complaint being the lack of a shoulder pad that
would relieve pressure caused by the thin strap that comes with the bag. The bag feels sturdy and fits its purpose
well, if a little expensive, pricing starting at $79.99 for the slim 12 and up to $159.99 for the limited edition
designer 17 bag.
For a slightly thinner but functional sleeve you might try the Slappa brand. These laptop sleeves are
particularly designed in styles that are meant to appeal to women. Despite being thinner and less protective than a
thicker, bigger bag, these still have a ruggedness and a different suitability. If you are planning on getting a
bag for your laptop to check your luggage at the airport, this is probably not it. But if you simply want to carry
your laptop from place to place it gives you an additional peace of mind. It also allows for more personal choice
with a variety of designs that are significantly more outgoing.
Reviews of this bag come to the point of obsession, having to do, in part, with the reputation of the brand.
When a company you like and trust a lot comes out with a product that you decide you really need there is a cache
for that company, and a good amount of client loyalty with respect to their favorite brands. The fit is nice and
snug for the laptop and the zippers are good and sturdy. It’s also much less expensive, at a price of $24.99.
Pinder as well has a solid product, with a variety of sizes to match a variety of laptops. The straps on these
bags come in regular business type or slightly longer form so that the bag can be carried, if you want, like a
purse. It is claimed to be an extremely rugged and sturdy bag which comes in a variety of colors at an affordable
price of $48.95. This bag seems to be a little bit larger and heavier but with extra pockets as well. It is thickly
padded and scratch resistant, rain resistant and can be customized. Pinder offers monograms so that your name can
be etched into the bag.
Reviews of the Pinder bag have been less than stellar. Apparently you cannot always count on all the claims made
by a company selling a product on its own website. There are numerous accounts of Pinder bags starting to tear at
the seams in the early months of use. This is true of bags that were used to carry the specific type of laptop that
they were made to carry. The tears eventually get worse and worse until the Pinder bag basically exposes the laptop
itself.
So these are some of the options for slim laptop bags and perhaps some of the options one would
rather not take. You can opt for the larger slim designer bag, the smaller sleek laptop cover or go out and find a
brand new product that works for you.
